Gayatri Gopaldas helps people solve problems in new ways, discover overlooked opportunities and expand what they believe is possible. A Singapore-based keynote speaker, TEDx Kalundborg speaker, creative director and ACLP-certified facilitator, she brings 25 years of experience working across brands, industries and cultures.

She created THINK LIKE… to put a belief into practice: seeing a challenge through someone else’s way of thinking can reveal possibilities we might never discover on our own. Her work explores how our experience shapes what we notice, the questions we ask and the possibilities we consider.

Through her talks, Gayatri helps audiences borrow the mental habits of people in other professions and apply them to their own challenges. They learn to question familiar assumptions, see customer needs differently and explore opportunities beyond the obvious answer. She aims to make imagination a capability people can deliberately practise and bring into everyday life and work.

Gayatri also co-developed the Creative Intelligence Thinking Framework with Identity Counsel. Through facilitated workshops, she helps teams move between creative, analytical and practical thinking: widening their options, examining what is worth pursuing and turning promising ideas into purposeful action.

THINK LIKE… Someone You Are Not

The unexpected power of borrowing another mind.

The way we think shapes the possibilities we see. Our experience teaches us what to notice, which questions to ask and what to expect. Over time, we can begin to confuse the limits of our experience with the limits of possibility.

THINK LIKE… offers a practical way to widen that view. Drawing on her TEDx story and 25 years of creative leadership, Gayatri shows audiences how to borrow the mental habits of people whose work demands a different way of thinking. How does a detective question an explanation everyone else accepts? How does an archaeologist find meaning in fragments others overlook? What might their approaches reveal about a challenge of our own?

Audiences learn to apply these unfamiliar perspectives to familiar problems: questioning the brief, seeing a customer’s needs differently and discovering opportunities beyond the obvious answer. Imagination becomes something they can deliberately practise and bring into everyday decisions.

Audience takeaway: A repeatable approach to getting unstuck: recognise the boundaries of their thinking, borrow a different perspective and use it to uncover new ways forward.
