Speaking Up & Speaking Out; Why the Thriving Workplaces of Tomorrow Start with Inclusion

Recent times have seen substantial cultural shifts in terms of what work means for an individual's identity, expression, and belonging. Traditional power dynamics are changing and with the rise of movements like equal pay and #blacklivesmatter, expectations employees have of their rights, empowerment, and fulfillment are topics that can no longer be swept under the rug. Individuals are less likely to sacrifice in order to fit in; they want to bring their whole selves to work, have a voice, and feel heard.

They want to work in organizations that share their values and recognize them for their uniqueness and contribution. This, however, is a two-way street: both the employees and employers have a role to play. It is about leading by example, empowering people to speak up, and creating safe spaces for it. It is about empowering employees who genuinely care about the business and the customers. It is about embracing a leading with the statement "your success is my success". Having navigated and empowered hundreds of people to be more fulfilled and successful at work, in this Keynote Sandra deftly facilitates the exploration & cultivation of an inclusive culture that promotes speaking up and speaking out to create the thriving workplaces of tomorrow.
